RENTAL RULES & REGULATIONS

Rules and regulations are subject to change.

Upon our receipt of the full reservation fee of $250.00, along with a copy of this Agreement signed by you, your reservation request will be converted to a confirmed reservation. THE $250.00 RESERVATION FEE IS NONREFUNDABLE. Please note: Balances are due in full 30 days prior to your arrival, balances due will be charged to the credit card number you have supplied.  THE CREDIT CARD SUPPLIED FOR BOOKING MUST BE PRESENTED AT TIME OF ARRIVAL.  If the credit card is not supplied the reservation will be null and void.  If reservation is cancelled within the 30 days of arrival, the full reservation amount is nonrefundable.

Rental Homes are located in the private residential area of Oak Shores Community which is managed by the Oak Shores Community Association. Oak Shores Community Association and Central Coast Getaways, aka Dragon Lake Rentals restrict the number of adults per home to 8 persons ages 16 and up. There is no restriction on the number of children 15 and under. Only 2 cars are permitted at the rental home; arrangements can be made for additional vehicles. One boat or two personal watercraft are allowed for each rental home, and one trailer. This trailer may hold one boat or two personal watercraft.

Access to Oak Shores shall be denied to any persons whose names do not appear on the Oak Shores Community Association Rental Registration form (this form will be provided and must be completed prior to the arrival date). A renter shall not be allowed to enter names to the registration form or invite guests to a rented dwelling once it is signed and turned into the association.
Lake levels rise and fall accordingly.  Any advertised private slip or private dock the becomes unavailable due to lake levels and is included with the rental home will have a maximum refund of $100/week and will be prorated for shorter stays.

Oak Shores community requires you to abide by the posted speed limits within the community. You must be at least 16 years old and licensed to drive any type of vehicle in the community, including golf carts and motorcycles. Go peds are not allowed in the community.


Pets or Smoking ARE NOT ALLOWED in any of the rental homes. If you are caught smoking in the home or with a pet inside or outside the home you will be asked to leave immediately. If there is evidence that a pet or smoking took place then the renter will be charged a minimum $350.00 deep carpet cleaning.

Quiet hours are between 10:00pm and 6:00am! Please observe them and be courteous to the homeowners who live here and the other guests in the community.

Maintenance/Damage; Renters shall properly use, operate and safeguard the premises, all furniture, furnishings, appliances, and all electrical, gas and plumbing fixtures. Renters shall keep them as clean and sanitary as their condition permits. Renters shall immediately notify Central Coast Getaways aka Dragon Lake Rentals of any damage and shall pay for all repairs or replacements caused by renters. It is agreed that Central Coast Getaways aka Dragon Lake Rentals will add additional charges to your credit card for intentional damages done.

Vacation Rental Damage Protection: This Vacation Rental Damage plan covers unintentional damages to the rental unit interior that occur during your stay, provided they are disclosed to management prior to check-out. The policy will pay a maximum benefit of $1500. Any damages that exceed $1500 will be charged to the credit card on file. If you damage the real or personal property assigned to your rental accommodation during the trip, the Insurer will reimburse the lesser of the cost of repairs or replacement of the property, up to $1500.  Certain terms and conditions apply. Full details of the Vacation Rental Damage coverage are contained in the Description of Coverage or Insurance Policy. The Vacation Rental Damage can be purchased up to, and including at, check-in.  Please contact Central Coast Getaways aka Dragon Lake Rentals directly if you do not wish to participate in this plan.

Linen and Bath Towels, Hand Towels, Wash Cloths, and Bath Mats are provided for your convenience.  If Linen, Towels, Mats are excessively soiled or lost during your stay, an additional charge of $10.00/Piece will be charged to your credit card on file.  NO USING THE TOWELS TO WIPE DOWN WATERCRAFT, BICYCLES ETC AS THE OILS CANNOT BE REMOVED FROM THE TOWELS.

Upon departure, guests will  remove all trash from inside premise and put in the provided trash receptacles outside.  Guest will have washed all dishes or run the dishwasher.  Home should be left in a relatively clean standard.  If home is excessively dirty, additional charges may be incurred.


Watercraft not registered to Oak Shores Community property owners must obtain an Oak Shores Community visitor permit at the security gate. The Oak Shores Community permit fee is $125.00 per week/per watercraft. Friday - Sunday is $75.00. Such boats and jet skis shall be admitted to Oak Shores only upon payment of the guest boat launching fee in effect upon arrival. Lake Nacimiento is managed by Monterey County. The lake use permit charge is $10 per day or $100 per year/per watercraft. This fee can be paid at the main Oak Shores Community launch ramp silent ranger box or Oak Shores Campground, at Lake Nacimiento Resort Kiosk, or Lake San Antonio entry gate. Oak Shores may implement additional fees and will be required to be paid to enter the community.   Fees are subject to change.


You will be given a complete list of fines charged for violations of the Oak Shores Community rules and regulations in your welcome rental packet as well as a complete copy of all the current rules and regulations.

RENTERS agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Central Coast Getaways, aka Dragon Lake Rentals from all liability, including but not limited to death, loss, cost, expenses, suits, damages to any real or personal property, or obligations including actual attorneys fees, arising from RENTERS use of the rental premises and/or anything done or allowed to be done by RENTERS on the premises or in Oak Shores Community.


If the premises appears unsatisfactory, dirty, or damaged upon Check-in, Renters shall inform Central Coast Getaways, aka Dragon Lake Rentals immediately.

Guest Boat Fee Procedure:

  1. Guests with boats will complete a Visitor Boat Permit (form/pass) upon arrival at the Oak Shores Community Association entry gate and pay the required fee listed above.
  2. The original copy of the permit must be carried in the guest boat at all times and be available for inspection upon request. A permit sticker will be issued for each guest boat and or personal watercraft and must be displayed at all times.
  3. Upon leaving Oak Shores, the guest must return the original copy of the permit by depositing it in the box at the gate designated for such passes.

Marina Regulations:

  1. Speed limit in the Oak Shores Community Association Marina harbor wakeless area is 5 miles per hour.
  2. Skiing start-ups and drop-offs not permitted within wakeless zone.
  3. Swimming, picnicking, fishing, sunbathing and camping are not permitted on or from docks or slips.
  4. Swimming confined to roped-off area designated for that activity. No lifeguard is on duty, swimming is at your own risk.
  5. Parking lots are for owner parking only; renters must park their vehicles and trailer in the guest-designated parking area behind the club house at the main marina, or at the rental home.
  6. Boats may not be left in Oak Shores Community Association slips for more than 7 days.
  7. Slips may not be reserved or roped off in advance.
  8. Boats in Oak Shores Community Association slips are limited to 24 feet in length.
  9. Loading docks are for loading and unloading passengers and gear only. Docking is limited to 15 minutes.
  10. Boat trailers may not be parked overnight in the marina areas. Violators will be cited and/or trailers towed away at owner’s expense. Central Coast Getaways, aka Dragon Lake Rentals and Oak Shores Community Association assume no liability for any damage.
  11. Overnight camping at Oak Shores Community Association marinas or beaches is prohibited. No over night camping on any boat moored anywhere in the Oak Shores Community Association, or on Oak Shores Community property including the West Ramp area. “Overnight” is defined as between 10:00pm and 6:00am.

Failure to return house keys or gate card will result in a $50.00 charge to your credit card.
